Variety has selected Private Equity partner and Entertainment, Sports & Media Head Tom Ara; Entertainment, Sports & Media and Private Equity partner Steve Argeris; Technology & IP Transactions partner Dennis Adams; and Technology & IP Transactions partner David Markman for its “Dealmakers 2025” list, which honors prominent professionals in entertainment who have made major deals in the past year.

The publication highlighted the group’s expertise across industries and specialty areas, advising on several deals in music, sports, radio and television.

“I think what this year really proved is that the smartest money in entertainment, sports and media really isn’t betting on just one vertical,” Tom told Variety. “It’s understanding how, whether it’s streaming platforms or sports rights, music catalogs or even talent representation, [they’re] all kind of chapters in the same story of this industry or these industries.”
