Zeming Liu
Biography
Zeming Liu is an associate in Weil’s Securities Litigation practice. He focuses on defending securities class actions, shareholder derivative actions, and other complex business disputes in a variety of industries.
Zeming is also involved in the Firm’s pro bono initiatives, including work for the Innocence Project and representing a refugee for his asylum application.
Prior to joining Weil, Zeming served as a legal extern for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. He received his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a James Kent Scholar and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He was also financial and technical editor of the Columbia Journal of Transnational Law. During law school, Zeming worked as a legal intern for the National Center for Law and Economic Justice. He earned his M.A. in Philosophy from Tufts University and his B.A., summa cum laude, in Philosophy and Political Science from Middlebury College.
