Richard’s recent experience includes serving on Weil teams representing:
- A private equity sponsor in an ongoing minority unitholder oppression action brought by the founder and former CEO in Connecticut Superior Court.
- The special committee of the board of a leading U.S. healthcare services company in an ongoing stockholder class action before the Delaware Court of Chancery.
- A major regional amusement park operator in federal securities litigation challenging disclosures in the registration statement issued in connection with a transformative merger.
Richard also maintains an active pro bono practice. Of late, Richard has been working in conjunction with Legal Services NYC representing an individual seeking repair of outstanding hazardous conditions in New York City Housing Court.
Before joining Weil, Richard worked at another international law firm, where he represented major public companies, closely held corporations, and major financial institutions in securities class actions, shareholder litigation, complex internal investigations, and regulatory enforcement actions.
Richard received his J.D., cum laude, from St. John’s University School of Law, where he published a note in the St. John’s Law Review. He earned his B.A. in Philosophy from Fordham University.
