Biography

Lana Castor is a partner in Weil’s Private Funds practice and is based in New York. Lana advises private investment fund sponsors in the formation, structuring and negotiation of their investment funds. Lana has also represented private investment fund sponsors and their personnel in connection with economic sharing arrangements and governance issues. In addition, Lana also has significant experience in representing private funds and institutional investors in connection with co-investments. Lana also advises sponsors and certain institutional investors in connection with secondary transactions involving interests in private equity funds.
Lana’s representative clients include American Securities, Ascribe Capital, Brookfield Asset Management, Lee Equity Partners and Tritium Partners.
Lana is recommended for Investment Fund Formation and Management: Private Equity Funds (including Venture Capital) by Legal 500 US. Lana received her J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center and her B.A., with high honors, from University of Michigan.
