Jenna Harris is an associate in Weil’s Securities Litigation practice. She focuses her practice on securities class actions, shareholder derivative suits, M&A litigation, and commercial disputes in state and federal courts.
Some of Jenna’s recent experience includes serving on Weil teams representing:
- AMC Entertainment in securities class actions in the Southern District of New York and related derivative litigations in the Southern District of New York and the Delaware Court of Chancery.
- Brookfield Asset Management in appraisal litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery.
- Sasol Ltd. and senior executives in a securities class action relating to the construction of a chemical plant in Louisiana.
- Signet Jewelers in a consolidated securities fraud class action in the Southern District of New York and related derivative litigation in Ohio state court.
- Walgreens Boots Alliance in a federal securities class action relating to statements the company made about a proposed merger with Rite Aid.
Jenna maintains an active pro bono practice, including working with the Office of the Appellate Defender to successfully reverse her client’s criminal conviction after appeal to the Appellate Division of the New York Supreme Court; Everytown for Gun Safety, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending gun violence; and the Innocence Project.
Jenna received her B.A. from Brown University and her J.D. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, where she served as President of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) and as an Executive Editor on the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology.
