Biography
Helena Rickards is an associate in Weil’s White Collar Defense, Regulatory and Investigations practice, where she focuses on a wide range of criminal defense matters, DOJ and SEC investigations, and complex internal inquiries.
Helena is also involved in Weil’s pro bono initiatives, including working on federal criminal defense in representations under the Criminal Justice Act as well as internal investigations for non-profit organizations.
Prior to joining Weil, Helena served as a Legal Intern for the Federal Public Defender in the District of Nevada, Capital Habeas Unit in Las Vegas, NV.
Helena received her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she served as an editor for the Harvard Journal on Legislation and represented clients through Harvard’s Criminal Justice Institute. She earned her B.A., first class and honors, in Psychology from the University of Calgary.
