Fiona Benson
Fiona Benson is an associate in Weil’s Complex Commercial Litigation practice, where she focuses on complex business disputes in a variety of industries.

Fiona is also involved in Weil’s pro bono initiatives, including providing legal counseling for individuals through the Innocence Project, the Texas Civil Rights Project, and the Sanctuary for Families. She worked to protect Texas voters from illegal election practices through the Texas Civil Rights Project, and is currently working with a victim of domestic violence in filing a post-conviction motion through the Sanctuary for Families.

Fiona received her J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center, where she served as executive editor of the American Criminal Law Review. During law school, she externed at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia in their Juvenile Trial Division. She also worked as a Student Attorney through the Criminal Justice Clinic, representing clients in misdemeanor proceedings in DC Superior Court.

Fiona earned her B.A., cum laude, from Yale University, double majoring in French and American Studies. While at Yale, she received the James T. King Research Grant to conduct original research on the symbol of the Seine in postcolonial French literature.
