Biography
Esteban is an associate in the Brussels Antitrust practice.
Representative experience includes advising:
- Igneo Infrastructure Partners on the acquisition of Höegh Evi Ltd.
- Goldman Sachs Alternatives on the acquisition of a majority stake in NAVEX
- Advent International on the £3.8 billion recommended cash offer for UK-listed Spectris plc
- Froneri, a joint venture between PAI Partners and Nestlé, on the acquisition of the European ice cream businesses of Food Union, a portfolio company of PAG Private Equity
- The ad hoc group of noteholders in relation to the restructuring of Petrofac.
- Lone Star Funds on the acquisition of DOMO Engineered Materials.”
Esteban has extensive experience in all aspects of EU competition law, including merger control, restrictive practices, and foreign subsidies, as well as foreign direct investment. Prior to joining Weil, Esteban worked as a Competition Knowledge Management expert at an international law firm in Brussels, and gained valuable in-house expertise as a lawyer for a South American airline.
