Dan Cruickshank
Dan Cruickshank is an associate in Weil’s Banking & Finance practice and is based in New York. Dan participates in advising borrowers, private equity sponsors, banks and other financial institutions in a variety of financing transactions, including first and second lien credit facilities, middle market and large cap financings, cross-border and domestic acquisition financings and debt restructuring transactions.

Dan has been part of the teams advising:

  • Avolon Holdings Limited in its $2.3 billion senior secured term facilities
  • Glencore plc, as investor, in issuance of a $75 million senior secured convertible note and $225 million of amended and restated convertible bonds for Li-Cycle Holdings Corp.
  • KKR Capital Markets Partners, as lead arranger, in multiple financing transactions for ERM, a KKR portfolio company
  • SoftBank Group Corp. and SoftBank Vision Fund II in transactions related to debt and equity investments in WeWork, Inc.

Dan received his J.D., cum laude and Order of the Coif, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he was a recipient of the CALI Award for Property Law and served as Senior Research Editor of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review. While in law school, he also served as judicial intern for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Dan received his B.S. from The University of Oklahoma.
