Carlos A. Sardiña is an associate in the Restructuring Department of Weil’s New York office.
Carlos received his J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law and a Master’s in Public Policy, with honors, from the University of Chicago, where he served as a graduate teaching assistant in microeconomics. Prior to joining Weil, Carlos worked as an underwriter in commercial multifamily real estate and as a middle school teacher through Teach For America on the west side of Chicago.

- Cano Health Inc., one of the largest independent primary care medical service provider groups in the United States, in its chapter 11 cases with approximately $1.5 billion in funded debt.
- Sunlight Financial Holdings Inc. and its debtor affiliates, a leading solar financial services company, in connection with its prepackaged chapter 11 cases and acquisition by a consortium of established investors in the solar financing industry and its senior secured lender.
- Serta Simmons Bedding, LLC, one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of mattresses in North America, in connection with its chapter 11 case with approximately $1.9 billion in debt obligations.
Creditor-Side Experience:
- Prepetition secured lenders in the chapter 11 cases of Clovis Oncology, Inc. and its affiliates, a biopharmaceutical company.
- Johnson & Johnson as a creditor in the mass tort chapter 11 cases of Imerys Talc America, Inc., which filed for chapter 11 as a result of thousands of personal injury lawsuits.
