Alexander Reich
Biography
Alexander Reich is an Associate in the Tax practice of the Frankfurt office. He advises on national and international tax law focusing on M&A and private equity investments as well as on tax-efficient reorganization and structuring.
Alexander studied law at the University of Saarland (law degree 2020). He completed his legal clerkship in Wiesbaden and Frankfurt, working as a trainee lawyer in the tax department of a Magic Circle law firm. Prior to joining Weil, Gotshal & Manges, Alexander worked several years for the German Tax Authorities in Rhineland-Palatinate. He was admitted to practice in Germany in 2023. In addition, Alexander became licensed as a certified tax advisor in 2025.
Since joining Weil, Alexander has advised, among others:
- Lone Star Funds in the tax aspects of its €4 billion acquisition of ContiTech, a provider of specialized rubber and thermoplastic products and systems, from Continental AG
Alexander is fluent in German and English.
