Jacqueline Marcus retired from the partnership in 2022. At that time, she was a partner in Weil’s Restructuring Department, based in the New York office. Since joining the Firm in 1982, Jackie concentrated her practice in business reorganizations, securitizations, and secured transactions. She has represented both creditors and debtors in a wide variety of restructuring and bankruptcy matters. She also has represented sponsors in numerous in-court and out-of-court restructurings. Jackie also worked closely with members of Weil's Structured Finance practice, rendering advice in connection with bankruptcy remoteness and non-consolidation issues.

Jackie was named among the Lawdragon 500 “Leading U.S. Bankruptcy and Restructuring Lawyers” in 2022. In 2019, she was named an “Equity Trailblazer” by The National Law Journal and recognized among “The Responsible 100” for 2019 by City & State. She was also honored by the Turnaround Management Association for her work on the successful restructuring of Aéropostale, Inc., and was the winner of the “Turnaround of the Year: Mega Company” award in 2017. In October 2010, Jackie was featured as AmLaw Daily’s “Dealmaker of the Week” for her representation of Extended Stay. Jackie was consistently highly ranked in the field of Bankruptcy/Restructuring by Chambers USA and recognized by Best Lawyers in AmericaExpert Guides’ “Women in Business Law” and Super Lawyers. Jackie has contributed to publications and seminar materials on various restructuring topics.

Jackie was recognized among the top diversity and inclusion professionals in the legal field. As Co-Chair of Weil’s Diversity Committee, Co-Chair of the Taskforce on Women’s Engagement and Retention (TOWER), and a leader of Women@Weil, she was an outspoken advocate for gender diversity in the law.
