MUNICH, August 31, 2026: International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP is expanding its Litigation practice in Munich with two experienced hires: Dr. Philipp Steinrück joins Weil as partner on October 1, 2026, and Dr. Amandine Torikian-Tomassian joins as counsel. Together, they will strengthen Weil's Munich Litigation team, focusing in particular on post-M&A disputes.

The addition contributes to the consistent growth strategy Weil is pursuing in Germany. Since the end of 2025, eight partners, one counsel and several other lawyers have joined the Firm’s German offices. Philipp and Amandine will join a practice that, thanks to its close integration into Weil's global network, already ranks among the most sought-after teams for complex litigation matters in Frankfurt and Munich. The hires also advance the planned expansion of Weil's International Arbitration practice to which Philipp brings significant momentum from his many years of experience in international arbitration. Weil's fast-growing client base of leading private equity funds and their portfolio companies involving complex transactions gives the Litigation practice a natural pipeline of new business. All three pillars of the German practice – transactions, restructurings and litigation – are therefore growing in parallel and reinforcing one another.

Dr. Philipp Steinrück has advised on national and international arbitration and on litigation before German courts for many years. He represents German and foreign companies in all areas of dispute resolution. His special focus is on complex post-M&A disputes and the enforcement and defense of claims resulting from M&A transactions, an area of expertise that directly complements the transactional strength of Weil’s German offices. Dr. Amandine Torikian-Tomassian joins Weil as counsel, bringing her expertise in complex commercial litigation before German courts as well as in arbitration proceedings.
