Turnarounds & Workouts has named Restructuring Department Co-Chairs Matt Barr and Sunny Singh among its “Outstanding Restructuring Lawyers” for 2025. The annual report features 15 lawyers throughout the U.S. who have worked on the year’s most significant and successful restructurings.

Matt was honored for advising parties in 17 of the largest cases with liabilities over $1 billion since early 2024, including advising First Brands Group in its $12 billion+ chapter 11 – the largest corporate bankruptcy of 2025. The publication also noted his work advising the Ad Hoc Group of Term Loan Lenders in Accuride’s chapter 11 and Robert Pincus, the special master overseeing the court-ordered sale of Citgo’s parent company.

Sunny was also recognized for advising First Brands in its chapter 11. Turnarounds & Workouts noted the restructuring “optimized outcomes for a complex global operation spanning five continents.” He was also noted for advising Fossil Group in its “innovative cross-border restructuring” via Weil’s new “Stapled Exchange” method, which addresses only the distressed portion of a company’s capital structure.
