Law360 has recognized Banking & Finance partner Jessie Chiang as one of its 2026 “Rising Stars” for Banking, honoring her achievements advising on large financings supporting major transactions.

The publication highlighted Jessie’s work leading the Weil teams that advised Morgan Stanley and MUFG, as joint lead arrangers and bookrunners, in an $18.7 billion credit facility supporting Keurig Dr Pepper’s acquisition of JDE Peet’s; and Citigroup Global Markets, Goldman Sachs Bank USA and Morgan Stanley Senior Funding, in a $15.7 billion bridge facility supporting McCormick & Company’s acquisition of the foods division of Unilever PLC; among other matters.

She told Law360 that she had to navigate unique Dutch financing laws in Keurig Dr Pepper’s deal for JDE Peet’s. “It was super challenging in the sense that it was so novel,” she said.

Law360 also highlighted Jessie’s dedication to mastering every detail of the banking deals she works on, noting that she has advised on more than $75 billion in debt transactions over the last year. In the McCormick matter, she told the publication that the banker who initially reached out to her about the deal was the first banker she had worked with as a first-year associate, underscoring her professional growth and development.

“I’ve been really lucky in my career,” she said. “I’m super grateful to all the people who have taught me and super, super grateful to my clients for choosing me. It amazes me every day.”

Law360’s Rising Stars series annually recognizes attorneys under 40 whose legal accomplishments belie their age. The publication selected the 2026 honorees from more than 1,100 submissions.
