Biography
Spencer Kweskin is an associate in Weil’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice and is based in New York. Spencer participates in the representation of public and private companies in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
Spencer has been part of the teams advising:
- A consortium led by Advent International and Corvex Private Equity in its approximately $1.3 billion take-private of Heidrick & Struggles International, Inc.
- First Brands Group, LLC, and its U.S. affiliates, one of the world’s leading suppliers of aftermarket automotive parts, with more than 20,000 employees worldwide, across 30+ jurisdictions and over $12 billion in liabilities in connection with their voluntary Chapter 11 proceedings, including their:
- $50 million sale of their Walbro North America business to Overdrive Capital, LLC, an affiliate of Active Dynamics Group
- $25 million sale of certain intellectual property and related assets pertaining to the Filters and Plugs, Wipers, and Strongarm business lines to PGI North Star LLC, an affiliate of Premium Guard Inc.
- Fox Corporation in its $22 billion acquisition of Roku, Inc.
- WTW in the pending acquisition by Willis Re, its reinsurance joint venture with Bain Capital, of the U.S. reinsurance division of BMS Group
Spencer received his J.D., cum laude, from Notre Dame Law School, where he served as Executive Editor and Staff Editor of the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics and Public Policy. He received his B.S., summa cum laude, from Syracuse University.
