Biography
Samantha Anne Patel is counsel in Weil’s Banking & Finance practice and is based in New York. Samantha participates in advising corporate borrowers, leading private equity sponsors, banks and other financial institutions in a variety of financing transactions, including cross-border and domestic acquisition financings, direct and syndicated lending, middle market and large cap financings and chapter 11 reorganizations and out-of-court restructurings.
Samantha has been part of the teams advising:
- Advent International Corporation in its $6.4 billion acquisition of Maxar Technologies; and Iodine Software in Iodine’s $1.25 billion sale to Waystar; Griffon Bidco, Inc. in its senior secured term loan and revolving facility to finance the acquisition of LayerZero; Heron BidCo, LLC in its $700 million senior secured term loan and revolving facility to finance the acquisition of Heidrick & Struggles International, Inc.
- Antin Infrastructure Partners and its portfolio company Endurance Parent, Inc. in its senior secured term loan and revolving facility
- Dycom Industries, Inc. in its $2.94 billion senior secured term loan and revolving facility to finance the acquisition of Power Solutions, LLC
- Eli Lilly & Company in its acquisition of a manufacturing facility located in Pleasant Prairie, WI
- EQT Partners Inc. in its take-private acquisition of BTRS Holdings Inc. (Billtrust), in a transaction that valued Billtrust at $1.7 billion; BTRS Holdings Inc. in its incremental revolving facility and its refinancing term and revolving facilities
- Regis Corporation in its $130 million senior secured term loan and revolving facility
- TruArc Partners, as sponsor, in its senior secured term and revolving facility for Watchtower Buyer, LLC to finance the acquisition of Watchtower Security, LLC
- United Talent Agency, LLC in its approximately $1.2 billion senior secured term loan and revolving facility; in its approximately $1.1 billion senior secured term loan and revolving facility to finance the acquisition of Representatives Of Outstanding Footballers
- Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC (a portfolio company of Brookfield Business Partners) in a senior secured term loan and revolving facility
Prior to joining Weil, Samantha was a Financial Services associate at another international law firm. She received her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School and her Hons. B.A. from University of Toronto.
