Nika has acted for financial institutions, banks and sponsors on a wide range of financing transactions, including acting on acquisition and leveraged finance transactions, corporate lending and cross-border debt restructurings.
Representative experience includes acting for:
- The ad hoc group of noteholders in relation to the restructuring of Petrofac
- Kingsway Capital on its investment in privately placed senior secured convertible bonds issued by Blockchain.com
- Sculptor Capital and Varde Partners in relation to financing for PGS
- Cornell Capital and its portfolio company kdc/one in its acquisition of Barony Universal
- GSAM, as initial purchaser of the senior secured notes and convertible preference shares issued by Soho House
- GSAM, as lender, in connection with Insight Partner’s acquisition of I@D International
- BlackRock, as lender, in connection with Marlin Equity Partner’s acquisition of Linnworks
- Lenders in relation to the post-IPO financing for Apax’s portfolio company, Baltic Classifieds Group
- Ad hoc group of secured lenders to the world’s largest regional aircraft lessor, Nordic Aviation Capital, in relation to its $6.3bn debt restructuring by way of chapter 11 proceedings
- Ad hoc group of senior lenders to UK based deepwater drilling contractor, Seadrill, in relation to the Group’s $5bn debt restructuring by way of chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings
- Ad hoc group of bondholders of UK based speciality metals producer, Ferroglobe, in relation to the Group’s $500m financial restructuring
