Biography
Laurin Schmidt is an associate in the Corporate practice of the Munich office. He focuses on M&A and private equity transactions.
Laurin studied law at the University of Erlangen (law degree 2020). He was admitted to practice in Germany in 2023.
Since joining Weil, Laurin has advised, among others:
- Lone Star on various transactions including:
- the €4 billion acquisition of ContiTech, a provider of specialized rubber and thermoplastic products and systems, from Continental AG
- the sale of novobanco to BPCE
- TDR Capital in the €500 million sale of NKD Group, a European apparel and homeware retailer, to Mr Price Group, one of the largest retail groups in South Africa
