Biography
Josef Matoussi is an Associate in the Banking & Finance practice of our Frankfurt office. He focuses on domestic as well as cross-border transactions, including acquisition finance, real estate finance as well as other financing matters.
Josef studied law at Philipps University of Marburg (law degree 2018) and completed his doctoral thesis (Dr. jur.) in 2023. He completed his legal clerkship in Darmstadt and Frankfurt, working as trainee lawyer in the asset management and corporate departments of two leading US law firms. He was admitted to practice in Germany in 2024.
Since joining Weil, Josef's experience includes advising:
- Lone Star Funds in the financing aspects of its €4 billion acquisition of ContiTech, a provider of specialized rubber and thermoplastic products and systems, from Continental AG
Josef is fluent in German and English and conversant in French.
