Eric Westerhold
Eric Westerhold is an associate in Weil’s IP, Technology & Science Litigation practice based in Washington D.C. He has experience serving on Weil teams representing technology clients in district court patent litigation, 337 investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission, and inter partes reviews before the Patent Trials and Appeals Board.

Eric has significant trial-team experience spanning two ITC evidentiary hearings and two jury trials in District Court. He helped secure a $95 million jury verdict and ongoing royalty award for Altria in the Middle District of North Carolina and an exclusion order for GE at the ITC, and has also led the drafting of multiple successful IPR petitions and requests for ex parte reexamination at the PTAB.

Eric received his J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was President of the Student Intellectual Property Law Association and an Articles Editor for the Georgetown Law Technology Review. He received his B.A. in mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
