Elly Bergen
Elly Bergen is an associate in Weil’s Complex Commercial Litigation practice, where she focuses on litigating a broad range of complex commercial cases in state and federal courts nationwide.

Some of her most recent experience includes serving on Weil teams representing:

  • Core Scientific, one of the largest cryptocurrency mining and hosting companies in North America, with respect to pre-petition bankruptcy claims.
  • Softbank Investment Advisors, a major investment fund, in its litigation-related restructuring issues.

Elly also maintains an active pro bono practice, including work for the Innocence Project, participating in a Weil team representing a prisoner in a federal §1983 lawsuit, and assisting asylum-seekers through Sanctuary for Families and Project Rousseau.

Elly received her J.D., summa cum laude, from New York Law School, where she was the Legal Scholarship Editor of the New York Law School Law Review. She received the New York Law School Dr. Max Reich Award for Excellence in Civil Trial Advocacy and the Dean’s Award for Student Leadership. During law school, she was a Judicial Intern to the Hon. John M. Gallagher of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Elly earned her B.A. from Hunter College.
