Daniel Matijevic
Daniel Matijevic is an associate in the Employment practice of the Munich office. His work focuses on advising national and international companies on all aspects of individual and collective employment law.

Daniel supports employers in navigating HR related issues arising in corporate transactions and organizational restructuring. He also represents clients in employment related disputes and provides strategic guidance on matters such as employment contracts, dismissals, workplace compliance, and co-determination.

Daniel's recent work experience includes, inter alia, advising:

  • A German bank against claims of a former managing director in connection with the termination of the managing director's service agreement
  • A German real estate company in the context of a notary complaint procedure (Notarbeschwerdeverfahren)
  • A Luxembourg real estate investment manager and its subsidiaries in several disputes in connection with a major bond restructuring
  • A manufacturer of aluminum wheels for the automotive industry on litigation aspects in the context of the client's successful reorganization of its European business operations
  • Elevion on the takeover of Techem Solutions, the second largest German provider of heat supply and energy services
  • H.I.G. Capital and its portfolio company, Mainline Information Systems, in the take-private acquisition of Converge Technology Solutions
  • Peak Rock Capital in its acquisition of Aegis Industrial Software
  • Silver Lake and its portfolio company, Cegid, in its acquisition of Shine
  • Stoneridge, Inc. in the sale of its control devices business to an affiliate of Center Rock Capital Partners, L.P.
  • Superior Industries International, Inc., a manufacturer of aluminum wheels for the automotive industry, in the successful reorganization of its European business operations
  • TDR Capital in the sale of NKD Groupto Mr. Price Group
  • TI Automotive in the successful transformation and sale of its plastic injection molding business in Mühlacker, Germany

Daniel studied law at the University of Regensburg (law degree 2020) and joined Weil in 2022 as a legal trainee. He completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court Nuremberg (2022) and was admitted to practice in Germany in 2023.

Daniel is fluent in German (mother tongue), English and Croatian (mother tongue).
