Weil has won “Legal Advisor of the Year” at the Real Deals Sustainable Investment Awards 2025.

The award recognizes the success of the legal profession in advising the private equity community on sustainability issues. The judges considered the depth of sector specialism of the law firms shortlisted as well as the quality of initiatives, products or services launched since January 2024.

Weil’s submission spotlighted the London Private Funds Group (PFG), which advises some of the world’s largest and most innovative sustainability-focused sponsors on the creation of new business strategies and fundraisings, including those targeting opportunities in decarbonization, clean energy/energy transition and natural climate solutions.

It also detailed the breadth and quality of Weil’s advisory work on managing divergent ESG preferences amongst institutional investors in fund documentation, advising on the application of regulations such as the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) and on the group’s role in advancing blended-finance strategies.

The award ceremony was held in London on October 14.
