The Turnaround Management Association – the leading global association for turnaround and restructuring professionals – has honored Weil as the winner of its “International Company Turnaround/Transaction” accolade at its 2026 Turnaround & Transaction of the Year Awards.

The Firm was recognized for advising Fossil Group in its debt restructuring, utilizing an innovative, Weil-designed “Stapled Exchange” method for companies to restructure debt that avoids equity cancellation, delisting and the need to address the entire capital structure. Fossil successfully restructured $150 million of senior unsecured debt using the method, which was approved in court proceedings in both the U.S. and U.K. Sunny Singh, U.S. Restructuring Department Co-Chair, was also honored for his role in leading this landmark transaction.

This was the first time a U.S. public company has gone outside the country to conduct a restructuring of U.S.-governed debt, and Fossil is the first publicly listed U.S. company to adopt the Stapled Exchange.

The annual awards commemorate “the very best work happening across the turnaround and restructuring profession.” Winners will be honored at a ceremony in Houston on October 29, as part of the 2026 TMA Annual Conference.
