The Lawyer featured Weil in an October 8 article highlighting the Firm’s efforts to equip its lawyers with AI skills to develop innovative legal technology solutions.

The article noted that Weil funded three lawyers to participate in the LegalQuants Residency, a selective, four-week program that pairs legal professionals with mentors to build AI tools for their practices.

Andrew Simon, Weil’s Chief AI and Innovation Officer, emphasized how the initiative supports the Firm’s decentralized approach to innovation and its AI development team, LASER (Lawyer Augmented Solutions Engineering and Research).

“Weil’s decentralized innovation model is built on the idea that our lawyers and professionals know how to serve their clients,” Simon told The Lawyer. “The LegalQuants Residency is part of that model: help some of our most AI-forward team members better learn the ‘art of the possible’, which ultimately makes LASER’s job easier and gets us to client impact faster.”
