Entertainment, Sports & Media and Private Equity partner Steve Argeris has been named to The Hollywood Reporter’s “Top Sports Lawyers 2026” list.
The list features 50 attorneys for their work with A-list athletes, teams and leagues, recognizing individuals “who are engineering the sports industry’s biggest money moves.”
The publication highlighted Steve’s work advising a consortium led by Josh Harris in its $6.05 billion acquisition of the NFL’s Washington Commanders, the highest value sports franchise transaction in U.S. history.
Steve was also recognized for advising the Walton-Penner Family in its $4.65 billion acquisition of the NFL’s Denver Broncos, the second highest price ever paid for a professional sports team. His work advising Michele Kang in building Kynisca, her multi-club women’s soccer organization through the acquisitions of the Washington Spirit NWSL franchise, Olympique Lyonnais Féminin and London City Lionesses was also cited.
Honorees were selected based on client portfolios, groundbreaking cases, scope of deals and their reputation among colleagues.
