Weil Restructuring partner Gary Holtzer was honored with the prestigious Tina Brozman Mentoring Award, alongside Jenny Box and Lauren Krueger of KKR, at the annual Tina’s Wish Gala on Tuesday, September 29, at Pier Sixty in New York City. The 2026 Gala brought together 1,200 Tina’s Wish supporters to raise over $4.6 million in support of critical research for the early detection and prevention of ovarian cancer. Restructuring partner Jessica Liou presented Gary with the award and is pictured with him at the Gala.
The Tina Brozman Mentoring Award recognizes individuals who embody the spirit of mentorship and dedication to supporting others in the legal and financial communities. Gary’s selection for this award recognizes his longstanding commitment to mentorship and the impact he has had on numerous Weil attorneys, colleagues, and hundreds of law students throughout his career. The promotion of early cancer detection is also a cause of deep importance to him.
Founded in 2008, Tina’s Wish is a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding innovative scientific research for the prevention and early detection of ovarian cancer, as well as providing gynecologic health education. The foundation was established in memory of the Honorable Tina Brozman, former Chief Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, who passed away two years after being diagnosed at an advanced stage with ovarian cancer.
Currently, 80 percent of ovarian cancer patients are diagnosed at an advanced stage after the disease has metastasized, making treatment significantly less effective. Tina’s Wish works to change this reality by funding critical scientific research aimed at developing reliable methods for early detection.
