Weil Private Equity partner David Gail has been named a finalist for Texas Lawyer’s 2026 Dealmakers of the Year, which recognizes attorneys who have distinguished themselves through exceptional work on significant transactions and made a meaningful impact on the Texas legal and business community.

David advises private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, recapitalizations and dispositions. His recent representations include PSG in the sales of Versatile Credit to Synchrony Financial and ThreatConnect to Dataminr, as well as Kainos Capital in its acquisition of Patten Seed Holdings, LLC (Super-Sod).

Winners will be recognized at the 2026 Texas Legal Awards on September 30 in Dallas.
