Wesley Powell is the Senior Director of Legal Recruiting for Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP and is based in the firm’s New York office. He is responsible for the oversight of firm-wide legal recruiting, including the on-campus interview program, the summer associate program, lateral hiring, law school relations and recruiting events. Wesley works closely with the firm’s Chief Talent Officer, Professional Hiring and Steering Committee, department/practice group leaders and firm management to develop and enhance the overall recruiting strategy and programs for the firm.
Prior to joining Weil in 2004, Wesley worked for an AmLaw 100 firm in South Florida for six years. He is active in National Association for Law Placement (NALP), New York City Recruitment Association (NYCRA) and is a past president of NALP's South Florida City Group (SFALP). He is also a frequent speaker at law schools and recruiting industry events.
