Valerie Janovic is an associate in Weil’s Structured Finance and Derivatives practice and is based in New York. Valerie participates in advising issuers, underwriters, placement agents and collateral managers in all aspects of structured securities offerings, both in the United States and abroad.
Valerie also maintains an active pro bono practice. Her experience includes participating in the representation of tenants in housing court; assisting survivors of domestic violence with immigration applications under the Violence Against Women Act; assisting veterans with benefits appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.; and working on religious civil liberties matters, including helping to draft an amicus brief submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court in Grand v. University Heights.
Valerie received her J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she was as a member of Moot Court and published in the NYU Law Casebook. She received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Brandeis University.
