Trina Sultan
Trina Sultan is an associate in Weil’s Technology & IP Transactions practice and is based in New York. Trina participates in advising Firm clients in a variety of matters relating to the licensing, acquisition, development, sale, use and commercial exploitation of intellectual property and technology. She also participates in advising clients regarding privacy and data security issues in the context of corporate transactions.

Trina has been part of teams advising on the technology and intellectual property aspects, as well as on the data privacy and cybersecurity aspects of the following matters:

  • Bridgeport Partners LP in its acquisition of ATM Managed Services, Cash & Logistics, and MoneyPass businesses from Fiserv, Inc.
  • Fox Corporation in its pending $22 billion acquisition of Roku, Inc.
  • The Home Depot, Inc. in its acquisition of Mingledorff's, Inc.
  • The Mark Anthony Group of Companies in its acquisition of Lonkero, LLC (d/b/a The Long Drink Company)
  • TCV in its investment in Corgi Insurance Services, Inc.

Trina received her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Journal of Sports and Entertainment Law and President of the Intellectual Property Law Association. She received her B.A., summa cum laude from CUNY Hunter College, where she graduated as salutatorian and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
