Richard Stillman
Richard Stillman is an associate in Weil’s Complex Commercial Litigation practice. He focuses on litigating a broad range of complex commercial cases in a variety of industries including media, finance, and technology.

Richard is also strongly committed to his pro bono practice. He has recently collaborated with the Innocence Project to review the application of an indigent defendant seeking to overturn his conviction.

Richard graduated with High Honors and was elected to the Order of the Coif from the University of Chicago Law School, where he served as a member of The University of Chicago Law Review. During law school, Richard served as a judicial extern for the Honorable John Z. Lee, of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. 

Richard holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from The Graduate Center, CUNY. His published research spans a variety of topics in free speech law, general jurisprudence, and the philosophy of language. Richard earned his B.A., with High Honors, from Swarthmore College.
