Keya Patel is an associate in Weil’s Complex Commercial Litigation and Intellectual Property & Media practice groups, where she focuses on a broad range of complex commercial and intellectual property disputes, including class actions, breach of contract, bankruptcy and securities matters, in state and federal courts nationwide.
Some of her recent representative experience includes serving on Weil teams representing:
- A major digital media company in litigation alleging copyright and trademark infringement relating to artificial intelligence
- A global pharmaceutical company in various licensing and post-transaction disputes, including an international arbitration
- A provider of emergency air ambulance services in connection with a False Claims Act investigation
- A nationally recognized outpatient physical therapy provider in connection with two liability management transactions to increase the company’s liquidity and financial flexibility
- A Japanese manufacturer of gaming products publicly traded on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in its restructuring efforts
Keya also has an active pro bono practice including work for the Innocence Project and helping disadvantaged children with special needs.
Keya received her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she served as an editor of the Harvard Journal of Law and Gender, and earned her B.A., summa cum laude, in Art History and Plan II Honors from the University of Texas at Austin.
