Josepha Koch is an associate in the Antitrust department of the Munich office. She advises clients in all areas of German and European competition law.

Representative experience includes advising, among others*:

  • Rethmann Group in the German Federal Cartel Office's first investigation pursuant to Sec. 32f(2) German Act Against Restraints of Competition and in the subsequent appeal before the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court; in numerous merger control proceedings before the German Federal Cartel Office
  • An global online mobility platform in proceeding before the German Federal Cartel Office in investigations under Article 102 AEUV and Sec. 19 (1) German Act Against Restraints of Competition as a third party and the subsequent court proceedings (Higher Court of Düsseldorf)
  • A global digital company before various German Civil Courts in follow-on actions against damage claims based on an EU Commission's decision under Article 102 AEUV
  • A global car manufacturer in investigations of the European Commission and the CMA under Article 101 AEUV

*including matters worked on at another international law firm.

Josepha studied law at the University of Passau (law degree 2018) and earned her doctorate from the University of Augsburg (Dr. iur. 2022). She was admitted to practice in Germany in 2023. Prior to joining Weil, she worked as an associate in competition law for various international law firms and for the Federal Republic of Germany as a legal specialist.

Josepha is fluent in German and English.
