Abby Haglage

She received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she served as a student attorney in the school’s Appellate Litigation Clinic. In that role, she briefed and argued an appeal in the Fourth Circuit, securing a unanimous victory for her client. She also served as a research assistant to Professor Dave Rapallo, former Staff Director of the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Reform.
Prior to her legal career, Abby spent a decade as a journalist in New York, writing for national outlets including Newsweek, The Daily Beast, and Yahoo. Her reporting has been nominated for multiple awards and has been featured by MSNBC, CNN, ESPN, and Wondery. In 2018, the New York State Legislature recognized her in a resolution for her role in advancing legislation to protect survivors’ evidence. A Cincinnati native, Abby earned her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, with honors, from Miami University of Ohio.
