Weil Shortlisted for Four Honors at 2025 American Lawyer Industry Awards

Weil has been named a national finalist in four categories in The American Lawyer’s 2025 Industry Awards, which recognize outstanding achievements and contributions made by individuals, law firms and legal departments across various practice areas and specialties.

Complex Commercial Litigation partner Pravin Patel was selected as one of ten finalists for “Young Lawyer of the Year (Litigation).”

The American Lawyer also shortlisted Weil in the following firm-wide categories:

  • “Litigation Departments of the Year, Products Liability.” Weil was recognized among four firms nationally for its wide-ranging success defending billion-dollar case involving cutting-edge public nuisance, indemnification and greenwashing claims tied to plastics pollution, the opioid epidemic and talc mass tort.
  • “Best Use of Technology.” Weil was recognized for its launch of Weil DealVision 360, the industry’s most extensive private deal terms database, delivering valuable, data-driven insights and market benchmarking capabilities to the Firm’s clients; and
  • “Corporate Culture & Wellbeing.” Weil was recognized for its groundbreaking wellness efforts, including the appointment of Litigation partner Lori Pines as Chief Wellness Officer, and the Firm’s comprehensive, industry-leading suite of services and support initiatives.

The American Lawyer notes that “recipients of these awards often set benchmarks for others to follow and contribute significantly to the advancement of the legal profession in the United States.”
