Weil Restructuring partner Andriana Georgallas has been named to Global Restructuring Review's 2026 “40 Under 40,” which recognizes 40 rising stars in cross-border restructuring and insolvency from around the world under the age of 40.

Andriana advises companies, creditors and other stakeholders in complex domestic and cross-border restructurings, bankruptcies and liability management transactions. Her recent representations include First Brands Group in its chapter 11 cases, Arcade Beauty in its multi-jurisdictional out-of-court recapitalization and syncreon Group Holdings B.V. in its cross-border balance sheet restructuring.

In her profile, Andriana reflected on her path to restructuring, crediting a creditors' rights course in law school and Weil's summer associate rotational program with solidifying her interest in the practice. She described the summer program as offering "immediate client exposure, a front row seat to stakeholder dynamics, and real responsibility from day one."

Asked about the skills required for cross-border restructuring, Andriana emphasized adaptability above all else: "You need to be willing to adapt if you want to continue driving strategy in cross-border deals. Excellent local counsel is a given. But you quickly need to become an expert in whatever legal systems are applicable to your situation to maintain the most leverage and deliver the best advice." That mindset has shaped her own approach to the practice. While underscoring the importance of technical excellence, Andriana noted that her mentors “ingrained the importance of being proactive and ditching the standard playbook," a foundation she believes is deeply embedded in the Firm’s culture: “At Weil, we pride ourselves on "seeing around corners, being 10 steps ahead, and finding new, creative solutions to client issues."

The 2026 honorees were selected following a months-long research process that began with nominations from across the global restructuring and insolvency community.
