The Los Angeles Times has named Private Equity partner and Entertainment, Sports & Media Head Tom Ara to its list of “Entertainment Business Visionaries” for 2025.

The newspaper recognized Tom for his contributions to the entertainment industry over his career of more than two decades advising clients, including “private equity firms and global entertainment companies, on complex M&A, financing and strategic deals, handling multi-billion-dollar transactions.”

He also was noted for serving on industry boards and initiatives and his commitment to growing Weil’s Entertainment, Sports & Media practice.
