Weil has been named among Law360’s 2025 “Fund Formation Groups of the Year” for guiding some of the largest and most significant fundraises of the past year.
This is the second consecutive year the Firm has received this accolade and Weil is one of five firms recognized nationwide for 2025. The award also follows Private Funds Co-Heads Andrew Chizzik and Stephanie E. Srulowitz being named Law360 Fund Formation “MVPs” in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
The publication highlighted “another record-breaking year” for Weil’s Private Funds practice, guiding major matters like Brookfield Asset Management’s “blockbuster” $20 billion Global Transition Fund II, Jadian Capital’s $2 billion Real Estate Investment Fund II and Pacific Avenue Partners’ $1.65 billion Pacific Avenue Fund II.
“We're the biggest we’ve ever been; we’re the busiest we’ve ever been,” Andrew told Law360. “We’re seeing managers of all types, sizes, scale, and I think that 2025 was a year that Weil was able to show the breadth of what we're capable of.”
Law360 also noted the practice’s range of clients and how 2025 also included advising first-time managers, including Cux Capital, Terminus Capital Partners and PX3 Partners.
“We closed funds and launched fundraises for a really significant number of emerging managers,” Stephanie said. “We really grew our buy-side secondary practice, and it was just a really robust year in a lot of areas [where] we’ve been strategically focused.”
