Complex Commercial Litigation partner Bo Pearl has been named among the “Top Antitrust Lawyers” in California for 2025 by the Daily Journal

In a profile accompanying the recognition, Bo discussed his recent major victories for technology clients and the key legal and strategic issues shaping antitrust work today.

Bo’s recent achievements include securing complete summary judgement for Align Technology in two certified class actions just weeks before trial, defeating a follow-on consumer class action alleging Section 2 violations and later obtaining summary judgement in a merger-related challenge brought by similar plaintiffs.

Bo discussed the novel issues raised in his recent cases, explaining that “these cases involve the bleeding edge of monopolization law.” He noted that in these matters “the plaintiffs want to roll back fundamental pillars of antitrust law like Aspen Skiing and Trinko.”

Bo emphasized that the issues at stake extend far beyond a single client, observing that “these issues have day-to-day relevance for every technology company whether they have an affirmative duty to aid their competitors with their technology investments.”

In discussing the foundation of his practice, Bo reflected on the influence of his early mentors, noting: “Great lawyering means never stop looking under every rock.” He added that “every brief and every argument should tell a story rather than follow some IRAC formula.”
