Yoonmee Cho
Yoonmee Ann Cho is Associate Director of Pro Bono at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where she supports the coordination and strategic development of the firm’s award-winning worldwide pro bono program. In 2025, Weil’s 1,100 attorneys performed nearly 70,000 hours of pro bono work on a wide range of issues including human rights, economic development, corporate governance, political asylum and environmental protection. Yoonmee collaborates with attorneys, legal services organizations, and community partners to expand access to justice and strengthen the firm’s pro bono efforts. Yoonmee also supports the pro bono work in our regional offices in the United States and Asia.

Before joining Weil in 2021, Yoonmee served as Supervising Attorney of the Healthcare and Benefits team at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, providing legal guidance and representation to individuals seeking access to essential public benefits. In that role, she also managed the organization’s pro bono partnerships with law firms, creating successful collaborations between the private and nonprofit sectors.

Earlier in her legal career, Yoonmee represented low-income tenants in eviction proceedings as a housing attorney and advocated for children and families in the child welfare system, representing the city in abuse and neglect cases.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Yoonmee taught English in Thailand and worked in marketing at AIG. She also worked in the Pro Bono Clearinghouse at New York Lawyers for the Public Interest, screening and matching nonprofit clients with pro bono legal assistance from law firms like Weil.

Yoonmee received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. She received her B.A. in Politics from Princeton University.
