Will Ryan

William Ryan is an associate in Weil’s Securities Litigation practice, where he focuses on M&A litigation and defending securities class actions in state and federal courts, as well as corporate governance, regulatory, and international mediation matters.
Some of Will’s recent representative experience includes serving on Weil teams representing:
- AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc. in litigation in New York State Court relating to a dispute between the Company and certain creditors.
- Gores Holdings V, a SPAC sponsored by The Gores Group, and its former directors and officers in ongoing fiduciary duty litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery related to Gores Holdings V’s merger with Ardagh Metal Packaging S.A.
- Brookfield Asset Management and certain of its affiliates in a consolidated stockholder derivative action in Delaware Chancery Court arising out of a 2018 private placement and 2020 merger involving TerraForm Power, Inc.
- A global investment bank in connection with an international mediation.
Will also has a committed pro bono practice. Of late, he has been working with Legal Services of New York to represent immigrants and refugees in connection with their Adjustment of Status Applications, as well as with the Innocence Project.
Will received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of California Berkeley, where he graduated cum laude with departmental High Honors.
