Andrew Ling
Some of Andrew’s notable experience includes working on teams that:*
- Defended a portfolio company of a private equity firm in parallel litigations and arbitrations, as well as in a confidential government investigation.
- Represented a global industrial company in an ICC arbitration arising from the supply and licensing of complex industrial machinery.
- Represented a global aerospace company in an ICC arbitration concerning alleged breaches of framework agreements.
- Advised multiple federal grant recipients on administrative appeals of grant terminations, congressional investigations, False Claims Act enforcement, administrative litigation, and potential breach of contract claims.
Andrew also has an active pro bono practice, including representing clients in federal civil rights litigations and in New York state court bench trials involving child abuse and child support matters.
Outside of his practice, Andrew serves as Secretary of the New York City Bar Association’s Arbitration Committee and has authored several articles on government procurement and international arbitration.
Andrew earned his J.D., with Honors, from the University of Texas School of Law, and received his B.A., High Honors, from Wesleyan University. Prior to joining Weil, he was an associate at another prominent international law firm. Andrew is fluent in Mandarin and conversational in French.
