Michael A. Vitiello is the Chief Operating Officer of Weil’s Corporate Department. Michael works closely with the Corporate Department Chair in managing day-to-day operations and spearheading special projects and initiatives. He also serves as a resource for associates and acts as a liaison to the Corporate Department’s Leadership Team.
Prior to joining Weil, Michael was the Chief of Staff for the New York City Department of Investigation where he focused on strategic planning and policy development, oversaw the Background Investigation Unit and Complaint Bureau, supervised Human Resources and served as the agency’s Inspector General. Prior to that, he was a Senior Vice President at Citigroup Corporate & Investment Bank, Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Mizuho Corporate Bank and Associate Counsel at Credit Lyonnais.
Michael earned his B.A. (Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude) from Brown University and his J.D. from New York University School of Law. He began his legal career as a corporate/banking associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett.
