Jasmine Harris
Jasmine Harris is an associate in Weil's Complex Commercial Litigation practice, where she focuses on litigating a broad array of complex business disputes including multidistrict litigation (MDL), class actions, and mass tort cases in both state and federal courts.

Her recent work includes serving on legal teams representing:

  • A global cosmetics giant in successfully obtaining dismissal of all claims in a multidistrict mass tort action alleging that its hair care products caused cancer
  • A leading metal manufacturer in reaching a favorable settlement in a breach of lease dispute
  • A leading manufacturer of household goods in defending against putative class actions filed in multiple jurisdictions nationwide alleging violations of consumer protection laws
  • Special committees in conducting independent investigations of companies preparing to file for chapter 11 bankruptcy, including evaluating potential claims against board members for breaches of fiduciary duty and analyzing transactions for possible fraudulent conveyances
  • Steward Health Care System LLC, the largest private, physician-owned for-profit healthcare network in the United States with over $8 billion in debt obligations, in a chapter 11 adversary preceding for breach of contract

Jasmine also maintains an active and robust pro bono practice, including work for the Innocence Project and the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program.

Jasmine received her J.D., cum laude, from Texas A&M University School of Law, where she was a Staff Member of the Texas A&M Law Review. She earned her B.S., summa cum laude, from Southeast Missouri State University.
