David Garfinkel is an associate in Weil’s Securities Litigation practice. He concentrates on defending securities class actions, shareholder derivative litigation, and other complex business disputes in federal and state courts.

Before joining Weil, David worked at another international law firm.

His experience includes working on teams representing and advising:*

  • Numerous corporate clients and their executives and board members in securities class action lawsuits and fiduciary duty litigations in both federal and state court;
  • Corporate clients in civil litigations brought by the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division in federal court;
  • Corporate clients engaged in internal regulatory investigations; and
  • Major financial institutions and private equity clients engaged in due diligence for significant mergers and new product offerings.

David received his J.D. from Fordham University, where he was a member of the Fordham International Law Journal. He earned his B.A. in Economics from Vassar College. He also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Business from St. Mary’s University, Twickenham, U.K.
