Alaa Chaker
Alaa Chaker’s practice focuses on litigating complex commercial matters, at all stages. She has represented clients before state and federal courts, across a range of industries including technology, entertainment, transportation, and healthcare. She has experience in a variety of substantive areas, including breach of contract, privacy, false advertising, and products liability. She also maintains an active pro bono practice.
Before joining Weil, Alaa clerked for the Honorable Jia M. Cobb of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and worked at another global law firm.
Alaa received her Juris Doctor from Yale Law School, where she was a Notes & Comments Editor for the Yale Law Journal. She received her B.S. in mathematics & economics and B.A. in political science, summa cum laude, from American University.
