Weil Shortlisted for Four Honors at 2025 New York Legal Awards

Weil has been named a finalist in four categories in the New York Law Journal’s 2025 New York Legal Awards, including the prestigious “Law Firm of the Year” award.

In the individual categories, Corporate Department Chairman Michael J. Aiello was selected as a finalist for “Dealmaker of the Year,” an honor he has received multiple times. Most recently, Michael was named a 2025 “Dealmaker of the Year” by The American Lawyer following his 2023 win in the same category in the New York Legal Awards.

In the firm awards, NYLJ selected Weil as:

  • One of just three global firms shortlisted in the “Litigation Department of the Year: Professional Liability” category owing to its acumen and success defending  complex shareholder, securities, and corporate disputes. This is the fifth NYLJ LDOY shortlisting Weil’s Litigation Department has received since the competition started in 2018.
  • One of seven firms shortlisted in the “Innovation Awards: Firm” category for DealVision 360, a proprietary database of private deal terms; and
  • One of seven firms shortlisted in the “Law Firm of the Year” category, in recognition of Weil’s overall success and industry leadership over the past year.
