Three Weil Deals Recognized at 22nd Annual M&A Advisor Awards

Three Weil deals were recognized with top honors in major categories at the 22nd Annual M&A Advisor Awards.

The successful restructuring of Serta Simmons Bedding, LLC was named Consumer Discretionary Deal of the Year (Over $100M). The Weil Restructuring team was led by Restructuring Department Co-Chair Ray C. Schrock, and included partners Alexander Welch and Gabriel Morgan. The Weil Litigation team was led by Litigation Department Co-Chair David Lender and partners Luna Barrington and Ted Tsekerides.

The sale of Ruby Pipeline LLC to Tallgrass Energy Partners was named Energy Deal of the Year (Over $100M). Weil advised Ruby Pipeline in connection with its chapter 11 restructuring and the sale of its assets. The Weil Restructuring team was led by Restructuring Department Co-Chair Ray Schrock. The Weil Litigation team was led by Litigation Department Co-Chair David Lender and partner Jared Friedmann. The Weil Corporate team was led by partner Gavin Westerman.

The sale of KC Culinarte Corp. (d/b/a Kettle Cuisine) to an affiliate of L Catterton and Nestle S.A. was named Private Equity Deal of the Year (Over $1B). Weil advised the seller, Kainos Capital and its portfolio company KC Culinarte Holdings LP, in the transaction. The Weil team was led by Private Equity partners Richard (Rick) Frye and David Gail.
